The Holy Godavari Awakens Once Every 12 Years
Pushkaralu is observed when Brihaspati (Jupiter) enters the zodiac sign of Simha. For 12 days the river is believed to host the divine presence of Pushkar — bathing here is said to wash away sins of seven generations.

Which ghat should I take the holy dip at?
For the main snanam, Pushkar Ghat at Rajahmundry is the best-equipped. For Pitru Tarpanam, choose Gowthami Ghat. For children's Aksharabhyasam, head to Saraswati Ghat. For Shiva abhishekam, go to Kotilingala Ghat.
How do I reach Rajahmundry for Pushkaralu?

Where can I stay during Pushkaralu 2027?
Hotels in Rajamahendravaram, dharmasalas, APTDC properties and tent cities near the ghats. The state government is expected to add capacity for the festival but has not yet published room numbers or a booking date. Helpdesk centres at the ghats are expected to assist with last-minute stays.
